Lux's favorite bird
Yesterday morning, Lux looked out the window while we were having breakfast, and said "That's my favorite bird!"How nice, we thought, let's peek outside and see the woodpecker, or cardinal, or blue jay. But when Susan looked, there was a HUGE Bald Eagle in our backyard! We all hopped up and went out back and got to see the majestic bird sitting in our neighbor's tree for a minute before flying away. Amazing! We've never seen an eagle in our yard in the last 10 years of living here.
In other news, Nick still can't walk, but he has mastered most other aspects of getting around the house. A couple of days ago, the idea of turning around backwards to go down stairs clicked in his little brain and now he goes down all the stairs, even the big ones, as well as getting off beds and couches with nary a second thought.
Today we're going to Ft. Hunt preschool for a class visit. We'll do Tauxemont next week and then make our final decision.
