Good Night
Lux had a great night last night. She had her first dinner out at the South Austin Grill in Old Town Alexandria with our gang of friends from childbirth class. There were three pregnant couples and two (including us) who had recently given birth. The other baby, also named Alexandra, was born a month ago even though she was due after Lux, so she is just getting over 7 lbs now, but she is doing great and I think she looks a bit like Lux. Both babies slept peacefully, Lux in her Baby Bjorn carrier, while us parents got to enjoy some Tex-Mex food and margaritas (at least those of us who aren't breastfeeding :-). Then last night Lux did a great job with feeding and going back to sleep in her basinette soundly between feedings. So, I think everyone is feeling refreshed this morning. The only problem is that the walk from the car to the restaurant was probably a bit much for Susan this early and she got a bit sore. We'll be more careful now to keep her from walking to much. She's going to relax all of today and our friend Jay is coming over for a visit this evening (with food!) so we can have a quiet night in.
