Bon Appetit

Yesterday afternoon, Susan, Nana Jane, and I took Lux on her first ride on the Metro. Going out with a baby stroller really gives you an idea what it is like to be handicapped. We had to look for the elevators and handicapped ramp entrances to everything! It definitely slows you down. The afternoon was beautiful, so we strolled along Pennsylvania Ave. to our favorite casual French restaurant, Les Halles. We got an outside table and Autie Karen joined us for a nice long relaxing meal. They make the best steak frites I've had outside of Paris. Yum! Lux was perfectly happy to hang out in her stroller, or be passed around the table while we ate. Susan is getting some practice breastfeeding in public as well. Lux isn't too thrilled by feeding with a blanket draped over her, but she is getting the hang of it.

Two more of the grandparents arrive this evening. This time it is my Mom, Paula, and stepdad John. They are very excited to get to meet Lux!
