Deepto & Jacquie were here
Lux had a great weekend with Deepto and Jacquie who came down from New York to visit her. We went out to a nice restaurant on Saturday night (The Majestic Cafe) and Lux slept through the whole thing. Jacquie is a natural with Lux and was great at calming her when she got fussy.Lux is getting really good at sleeping these days. Sometimes she only wakes up once during the night and she rarely has trouble going back to sleep at night. Her most difficult times are in the afternoon when she usually gets a bout of the afternoon fussies. They aren't too bad since you can usually calm her, but nothing works for more than a few minutes so it takes a lot of effort and moving around. After a while, she has blown off enough steam and tends to fall asleep.
Last night we got to watch Lux's boyfriend Kyle Boller play the whole second half of the Ravens' first pre-season football game. Lux was in utero when Kyle led the Cal Bears to victory over Stanfurd in the Big Game and she really wants to see him start for the Ravens. He looked pretty good, albeit a bit nervous in his first NFL game. But, he had several good long completions including a thread-the-needle TD pass in the final seconds that could have won the game, but the 2-point conversion failed. Go Kyle!
