Together Again

Yesterday was a big snow day, but that didn't stop us from going to the big Bradley gang party that had been planned. It was the first time that all six of the kids from our childbirth class had gotten together in six months. Boy, had a lot changed. Everyone was walking, and had some words, and everyone played together really well. It was so great to see everyone again and really amazing to realize that they aren't the same tiny babies anymore. We managed to get a group photo or two of all of the kids on a couch before total melt down and rampant cookie thievery broke things up.

Last weekend it also snowed, and Lux got to try sledding again. It had been a year since she had last tried, and she certainly liked it better this time, though she still seemed to have her doubts. She prefers to simply walk around in the snow with her rubber boots on. She also enjoyed watching her father shovel the front drive. But she gets cold before too long and her little nose turns red, so we bring her back inside.

WORD WATCH - Lux can now sing E-I-E-I-O and said her first two word combination - "Beer, Dada". We have also noticed that she appears to have a Southern accent as she says "Buy-uh" instead of "Bye"

BROTHER UPDATE - No new news. Susan is still having contractions now and then and is feeling very uncomfortable, but that is to be expected. She has an OB appointment tomorrow and a final doula meeting on Wednesday. We have been trying to keep the house relatively tidy in case of labor, and have made motions towards packing bags for all of us. We'll keep you posted.
