On to recovery...

Well, the surgery is over and it went as well as we could have hoped. The doctor was able to do the procedure laproscopically so she just has 4 small incisions. The gall bladder was removed and they did a dye test to see if there were any blockages from stones left in the main duct and that came out all clear. So, we are hopeful that there won't be any further problems after a few days of post-op pain. She was in quite a bit of pain in the recovery room, so they loaded her up with morphine. Hopefully she'll be able to sleep in the hospital tonight and will feel a lot better in the morning. We expect she'll be able to come home tomorrow.

I've been overwhelmed with all the notes with good wishes and offers to help coming from everyone. It is great to have such caring and generous friends and family. Thank you all!
